Meet Our Faculty

Gigi Jacome, Kindergarten Teacher/Director 

Gigi graduated from Utah State University in 2000 with a Liberal Arts and Science degree with an emphasis in science. She has been at Morningside School for over 15 years.  Gigi’s love of teaching young children lead her to begin the alternate route to licensure through the Utah Department of Education. She was a kindergarten aide at Ellis Elementary and has taught Kindergarten at Bridger Elementary and Morningside School. Gigi loves to travel, take walks, read and spend time with her husband Oscar, and their adult children, Antonio, Carmen, Maria and Maya.

Jessica Widdison, Lead Preschool Teacher

Jess has been teaching preschool for over 10 years and loves watching children learn and grow throughout the year. She loves bowling, baking, gardening, puzzles and being outside.  Jess is a mother to 5 kids which keeps her busy when she is not at school.  She also enjoys having great adventures big or small with her husband Kyle.

Grace Hutchinson, Assistant Preschool Teacher

Grace is currently attending Utah State University studying Early Childhood Education and plans to graduate this spring. She has always loved working with kids and enjoys making connections and building relationships with her students. Grace is from St. Louis., Missouri and has been living in Logan for the past three years. She loves to spend time with family and friends, hike, cook, spend time outside and read.

Miriam Karbasi, Assistant Preschool Teacher 

Miriam has been in the child development field for 11 years and has always had a passion for working with children. Miriam has been married for 22 years and has three beautiful daughters. She loves spending time with her family and cooking for them. She enjoys the outdoors, watching movies, and going for walks with her two dogs. Her favorite holidays are Halloween and Christmas.
